The YRL conference brings together staff, managers, board members and trustees from public and school libraries to share ideas, experiences and expertise.


We welcome proposals for 75-minute presentations from both inside and outside the library community that explore the many ways in which libraries engage their diverse communities. Here are some topics that may inspire your submission:

  • Customer service and staff support

  • Training/online learning/gamification

  • Rethinking physical space

  • Staff perspectives and engagement

  • School library learning commons

  • Creating peer-based or leisure reading programs

  • Project/problem-based learning and STEAM
